Michelle Boyer received the distinction of Volunteer of the Year for Calvert Elementary School! Michelle volunteered countless hours coordinating our Book Fair, not to mention contributing at every PTA function and assisting in her daughter's third grade class. In addition to all of this, Michelle volunteered at Plum Point Middle School and Huntingtown High School! Thank you to Michelle for her commitment, generosity, and service!

May Volunteer of the Month

Congratulations to Jim Ferranti, our Volunteer of the Month for May! Jim was an enormous contributor to our Silent Auction. Not only did he manage to acquire a large quantity of our donated items, he was also the Auctioneer at our Live Auction! As a result of his efforts, as well as our entire community, we were able to purchase additional equipment for our playground. Thank you to Jim and all of our wonderful volunteers! We couldn't do it without each and every one of you!

April Volunteer of the Month

Congratulations to Janet Ulmschneider, our April Volunteer of the Month! Janet updates the CES Marquee monthly, volunteers for various grades, assists whenever necessary for PTA events, and created the First Grade Dr. Seuss Auction Basket. As always, we are so grateful for Janet's work and commitment, as well as the efforts of all of our volunteers!

Family Fun Night and Silent Auction

Please join us for our annual Family Fun Night and Silent Auction on Friday, May 8, 2009 from 5:30 - 8:30 pm! We will have MOON BOUNCES, lots of food (Hot Dogs, Kettle Corn, Ice Cream), a fabulous DJ, and tons of great items to be Raffled, Silent Auctioned, or Live Auctioned! Look for a sneak peek of Class Projects, Grade Level Baskets, and unique items in the next week!

March 2009 Volunteer of the Month

Congratulations to Susan Stevens, our Volunteer of the Month for March. Susan has been taking pictures for our yearbook over the course of the entire year. However, Susan has been especially busy during the last couple of months pulling all of the information together for the final product. Our sincere thanks for Susan's dedication and service! We are so grateful for our wonderful volunteer community!

February 2009 Volunteer of the Month

Congratulations to Karen LeRette, our February Volunteer of the Month! Karen has been working tirelessly on coordinating Cultural Arts Events, as well as maintaining the Beautification of our school. In February the children enjoyed a program celebrating African culture, in April they will see their artwork framed through Kids Art Fair, and in May they will learn about healthy habits during a presentation by Slim Good Bodies, as well as celebrate Science through a Hands On Science Assembly. These wonderful opportunities are a direct reflection of Karen's dedication to our community! Thank you to Karen, and all of our volunteers, for making CES soar like an eagle!
